Why Regular Wall Paint Fails on Doors & Trim
If your doors stick to their jambs or your trim peels off in rubbery strips when vacuumed, you used regular wall latex. Baseboards, cabinets, and doors demand a hybrid Waterborne Alkyd Enamel.

What is "Blocking Resistance"?
Standard acrylic latex stays slightly soft and rubbery forever. When a door is closed against a painted door stop, the two painted surfaces fuse together like glue (called blocking). Waterborne alkyds cure into a hard ceramic-like resin that never fuses or sticks.
Self-Leveling Magic
Oil paint used to be the painter's favorite because brush marks automatically flattened out before drying. Modern waterborne alkyds mimic that exact slow-flowing surface tension, eliminating brush tracks while still cleaning up easily with warm water and soap.
